CBR Survey of Knowledge Exchange Activity by United Kingdom Academics
A survey of the knowledge exchange and the professional activities of UK academics which generated more than 22,000 responses. The survey looks at interactions between academics and other sectors, and specifically covers the following areas:
- the activities of academics
- how academics are interacting with external organisations
- what motivates or constrains interactions
- how academics see the role of academia in society

CBR Survey of Knowledge Exchange Activity by United Kingdom Businesses
A survey of the knowledge exchange and innovation activities of UK businesses which generated more than 2,500 responses. The survey of businesses included questions on business performance and innovation, and how businesses perceive interactions with other organisations, such as universities, higher education colleges and colleges of art and music, with respect to a number of factors, including:
- modes of interaction (people-based, community-based, problem-solving and commercialisation activities)
- ways that interactions are initiated
- motivations and impacts
- constraints

UK Manufacturing: Historical Dataset, 1870-2012 (under construction)
Output, employment, productivity and trade data for UK manufacturing since 1870. This dataset consolidates and links a variety of data sources to provide a consistent data series. Currently under construction – please contact me if you require the beta version.
